We have been seeing the tensed faces of students and their parents during the 10th and 12th exams. Students reads the books throughout the night before the exam day. Some students would get tensed when writing the exam even though they have read all the syllabus and they know answers for all the questions. But that tension and fear will make them to forget everything. Parents ordering their children to get nice marks. And that pressure had taken the lives of many students who killed themself after knowing they got failed in the exam.
To avoid this pressure, what can be done? The solution for this problem is given by Mr.Kapil Sibil , Union Minister for Human Resource Development. Today he announced his 100 day plans. He said
"To avoid the pressure of the students, we are going to cancel the tenth standard common exams. Later, we will be cancelling the twelfth standard exams also. Colleges will conduct common entrance exam for admitting the students. Entrance exams should only be the evaluation criteria for the admissions and hence the board exams will be cancelled. Now we have multiple school boards. We are planning to bring all of them under one board. We are talking with the state boards about this."
